Jeff Torres: Assignment 1

Book Cover

Storyboard

The storyboard will start with a blank green canvas in a close up view.

The first purple shape will appear as it slides to the right. "Dr." will appear as the shape slides in and will fade out as scene ends.

The next shape will move in a diagonal fashion to the upper-right hand corner.

The first green shape will appear and move down. "Mr." will appear as the shape slides in and will fade out as scene ends.

It continues with this shape moving up. "Jekyll" will appear as the shape slides in and will fade out as scene ends.

This shape will move to the left. "Hyde" will appear as the shape slides in and will fade out as scene ends.

This shape will move down. "+" will appear as the shape slides in and will fade out as scene ends.

The final solo shape will move to the left. "Robert Luis Stevenson" will appear as the shape slides in and will fade out as scene ends.

Now, two shapes will move in different direction and overlap to show a transparency. The green shape will move down while the purple shape will move to the upper-right hand corner.

The transparency occurs once again as a purple shape will move down while the green shape will move left.

This will be the final two shapes that will overlap to show a transparency in a close up view. The purple shape will move up while the green shape will move to the left.

The same green shape from the previous picture will be continued to be followed as it moves to the left.

The green shape moving to the left now appears in a zoomed out view ahead of the over shapes. "Robert Luis Stevenson" will appear as the shape slides in and will fade out as scene ends.

All shapes that were previously displayed in a close up view, will slowly slide into the picture along with the text.

Final placement of shapes and text.

The storyboard will begin with a close up view to show the detail of how each shape slides from one side to the other. Purple represents Dr. Jekyll and green represents Mr. Hyde. The purple and green shapes will eventually overlap which represents how the two personas of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde intertwine. In addition, once the shapes overlap, a transparency happens. This indicates that although one persona can be seen, the other persona still remains within. Once the view is zoomed out, the shapes will slide into their final positions as the title and the name of the author fade in.
