Essay

The Breakfast Club a 1935, a story of high school students having to come to school on a Saturday. A comedic - drama, following 5 teenagers from five completely clique. The five stick to their stereotypes, but those do not define who they are. The students are not complete strangers, however it shows that they are very different. The student are to come to school for detention at 7 AM, the punishment would last 8 hours. The supervisor named Vernon, assigns them an essay to write about "who you think you are." This leads to them rediscovering themselves. What makes them, and who makes them. The students pass the hours by talking, arguing, and, at one point, smoking marijuana that Bender retrieves from his locker. Gradually, they open up to each other and reveal their deepest personal secrets. Through this they also discover that they all have difficult relationships with their parents. The students quickly realize that, even though they are very different, they face similar pressures and complications in their lives. Vernon reads the essay, written by one of the students states that Vernon has already judged who they are, using simple definitions and stereotypes. But they individually they found out who they are "a brain, and an athlete, and a basket case, a princess, and a criminal." Signed "The Breakfast Club"


This movie revolves around the teenagers and their hidden problems. Despite differences amongst each other. This movie dives deeper than just normal teenage problems, it touches on sensitive topics such as problems at home. Things that were not talk out in the open about.

The Breakfast Club a 1935, a story of high school students having to come to school on a Saturday. These strangers are all there for different reasons and over time through conflict they get closer. Having similar problems they talk about them and begin to bond over them. Throughout the movie, the students create havoc for the supervisor.
