Silence of the Lambs is a crime-thriller film released in 1991 starring Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, Scott Glenn, and Ted Levine. The film's storyline follows Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), an FBI trainee at the FBI Academy at Quantico, Virginia, working under the leadership of Jack Crawford (Scott Glenn) in the Behavioral Science Unit. Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) is a former psychiatrist and a cannibalistic serial killer that is imprisoned under maximum security isolation. Since "it takes a psychopath to know another," Crawford asks Clarice Starling to question Dr. Hannibal Lecter in order to find answers about Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine), a serial killer who skins his female victim's. He is a tailor, and uses the skin of his victims to make a female "suit" for himself.
