The crew of the Ares III mission to Mars is exploring Acidalia Planitia on Martian solar day

A strong dust storm threatens to topple their Mars Ascent Vehicle and crew going back.

The storm worsening by the second, mission commander Melissa Lewis orders the crew to take off and return to their orbiting vessel, Hermes thought that their crew Mark Watney is lost in the storm and Dead.

Watney but open his eye in the mars with low oxgyen.He manage to get into the hub and removes the piece of antenna which destroyed his suit's biomonitor and lodged in his torso by performing self-surgery.

He begins a video diary and realizes that his only chance of rescue is to rendezvous with the Ares IV crew at the Schiaparelli crater, 3,200 kilometres (2,000 mi) away in four years.

He tried to make water by extracting hydrogen from leftover rocket fuel, but his first attempt failed. Later it works and he produce water inside the hub.

While reviewing satellite photos of Mars, satellite planner Mindy Park sees evidence of Watney's activities and realizes he has survived.

Watney takes the rover to retrieve the nearby Pathfinder probe, which fell silent in 1997.

Using the lander's camera, he establishes rudimentary communication with Earth, first with plastic bin lids, and then using hexadecimals.

The Ares III crew, do not know that Watney still alive.sanders decided not to inform believing that would distract them.

Finally the crew came to know about Watney is alive, and decided to save from the planet with any risk.

Watney begins the 90-sol journey to Schiaparelli and the pre-positioned Ares IV MAV.

Watney removes many components from the MAV, including the nose cone, to lighten it, replacing it with a piece of the Hab's canvas

The MAV fired up.

As the MAV fails to reach the required speed and altitude,

Commander Lewis uses a Manned Maneuvering Unit, but still cannot reach Watney. Watney pierces the glove of his pressure suit and uses the escaping air to propel himself towards Lewis.

Finally Commander Lewis got Watney.

After returning to Earth, Watney becomes a survival instructor for astronaut candidates.

This story is about the astronaut who lost in the Mars.During the evacuation time in the mars the strong storms hit the astronaut and his crew members thought he was died in the storm and left him behind.But the astronaut watney didn’t die.when he wake up in the mars he realize that he was alone in the mars. He started to make a video diary and realizes that his only way of rescue is to rendezvous with the Ares IV crew at the Schiaparelli crater which is 3,200 kilometres away in four years.

He realise that there is no enough food for him to survive in these years.He is a biologist and thought of cultivating food inside his hub.He started to farm potatoes and produce water from hydrogen.
At the same time in the earth the satellite planner Mindy park found that watney is still alive in the mars by seeing phtos from satellite.They inform the NASA crew members and they started to planning to rescum him.There is lot of problems was going on but still the crew member stand in their decision to save him.
Finally they resume watney by the commander Lewis.It was a great achievement for the US NASA to rescue the great Astronut Watney.His story became a great aspiration to the new lives.
