Miranda Rickhoff: Silence of the Lambs

Silence of the lambs is a story about a FBI agent named Clarice Starling in training being called to help assist in intviewing a locked up psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibel Lector. The main goal of the intview is to help gather information on a current cannibal nicknamed "Buffilo Bill' and solve the murders of 5 women across the northeast and coast of the USA. During the time, Starling starts to build a relationship with Lector learning more about herself and him. During that time, 'Buffilo Bill' strikes again and kidnaps another women, the daughter of a senitor.

Starling was chosen by Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI Behavioral Science Unit to help gather information out of Lector for one week. She was given clearance to the hospital he is being kept for one week in order to gain information and help figure out the mind of a cannibal. While having permission to visit Lector, she is given strict rules on how to talk and handle him. Don't accept anything from him, don't let him get his way and for sure don't get close to the glass. Before Starling is able to get any information from Lector, he toys with her and makes it hard to gain information out of him. He plays mind games with her and refuses to give her straight answers about what she is looking for. While she is top of her class with reading people, she has a hard time being able to get anything out of Lector without feeling like she is being tricked. But after going back a couple times, and breaking all the rules set by those letting her in, she is able to gain his trust and have conversations that help her towards her goal of stopping 'Buffilo Bill'.

During conversations with Lector, Starling is able to solve the puzzles that he gives her to figure out the idenity of Buffilo Bill, a transgender man in northwest Indiana that is murdering woman and skinning them to create a 'human coat' to feel like a women.
