Color Schemes and Lighting in Films

Color and Lighting creates a unique atmosphere and identity for a film. It's often carefully applied in great detail to set design, customes etc.

Using an appropriate color scheme and lighting (or light/dark tone) can create a strong connection between the title sequence and the film.

Pushing Daisies: Red and green

Ugly Betty: Orange and blue

Apocalypse Now: Orange and green

Element of Crime: Monochrome orange with touches of green and blue

Lighting

Lighting can be very effective to communicate a certain message/idea. A carefully lit piece of typography can mean such as much as a super complex 3D/CGI scenario.
