Ford v Ferrari is a movie centered around driver Ken Miles and the 24hrs of Le'Mans race. Ken Miles is recruited by Carroll Shelby of Ford Motor Company because he is an exceptional driver and also a great mechanic. As Enzo Ferrari's fast Rosso-Corsa racing cars dominate the mid-1960s motorsport world, Miles and Shelby want to build a car that could beat Ferrari's race car and end their long history of success in the race. Ken Miles works mostly on the car and Shelby works to pitch him to the Ford executives who know he's a good driver but question his less favorable character in the press. Ford's race team has less than ninety days to rewrite history. As a result, the non-conformist duo comes up with the mighty Ford GT40 Mk I high-performance racing car. The 24hrs of Le’Mans is extremely difficult due to the conditions of the race itself, but also making a car strong enough to race at top speeds for so long. Ken is an expert at fixing cars and has a special sense of what is wrong with the car when driving from the feelings it gives him. Ken doesn't really care about winning or losing the race, more creating a fast car that drives well, having a quality race and getting the perfect lap as much as possible.
Ford and Ferrari go head to head in mechanics and speed in the 1960's. The movie has an older yellowish tan tone to it making it feel warm even at night.
