This movie takes place in the 70’s in a small town in ohio. The movie is scifi horror. And depicts the story of a group of kids trying to make a zombie movie to enter a film festival. And finding a deep secret that was never meant to escape. This movie shows the contrast between a very soft and colorful movie and a terrifying scifi experience.
A large visual part of this movie is its use of 8mm film and the very scratchy homemade look. While being contrasted by these high quality futuristic special effect. And this contrast is also shown through the color pallet where in the day where it is calm there are very pastele 70’s colors while at night it turns into mainly dark blues and blacks to show you the change of the situations.

Cut to this light leak footage resembling the heavy use of light flairs in the movie
This frame of liquid footage is to give a very science fiction look but still have the high quality look
Static is used as a transition from these high quality shots to a more gritty and compressed look
The static will flicker showing frames of the gas station from the movie where the first attack occurs
Then flicker into this red splatter frame by frame animation to give the more old film look and give the inkling of blood or danger
Half way through the red splatters will begin to overlap the text
Cut to this black film footage with lots of glitches and grain
The frame gets washed out with white making the text disappear then gets ripped back into black
The text will the have a film burn effect occur until the whole frame is black
after a few moments of black the movie logo will flicker in emulating an old film light
