Team has discovered one of their team members acting strangely surrounding it and discovering that the alien parasite that infected the dogs can infected humans and perfectly shapeshifting and minic one of them. Use of red and white color.

R.J. MacReady burnt the thing which causes it to detache its head and attempts to escape before also being burnt. Demonstrated to R.J. that every part of the Thing is an individual life form with its own survival instinct.
Learning that the thing can use every part of its body to assimilate anybody within the station. R.J. captures and ties up the remain members and testes their blood with a heated piece of wire.
Testing the different blood samples, everyone passes the test except Palmer, whose blood jumps from the heat causing Palmer to transforms and infects Windows. Forcing MacReady to burn them both. Show casing a horrifying transformation.
MacReady, Garry, and Nauls go looking for Blair to test him but find out that he escaped and found that Blair was infected and was try to build a space craft to escape the cold and found more humans.

R.J. MacReady and Childs as the remaining survivor sharing one last drink togther not knowing if the other real or the alien parasite.
The Thing (1982), directed by John Carpenter, follows a group of men at an American research station in Antarctica. The base is visited by a Norwegian helicopter which is pursuing and shooting at a sled dog. The Americans kill the Norwegian man for firing at the base and take in the dog. The American team decided to investigate the Norwegian base. The Americans found that the rest of the Norwegian team were dead and the base was destroyed. Discovering that the Norwegian dug a block of ice that seemed to once hold something within. Later learning that the Norwegian dug up an alien spacecraft, cluing that an alien must of once been inside the ice block.
Well the small team was investigating the Norwegain base, the dog that they took in the beginning, wandering around scouting the area. The small team then returns from the Norwegian base brings back a corpus that looks like two bodies fusing together. Analyzing the corpus blood sample, they find that an alien blood sample is attacking and replicating the human blood sample. Later finding and killing the dogs being eaten and in the early stage of replicating the dogs, the team began losing trust within each. Tension is built when people start acting strangely and begin threatening to kill one another. The film goes from a bright white snowy color to a dark blue and orangey color as people begin to lose trust in one another. One by one the team is slowly killed either by the parasite or by each other. With the remaining survivors blowing up their base like the Norwegian in order to kill the thing. Ending with Childs and MacReady unable to trust one another and waiting to die.
