The Ring
The Ring is a horror film made in 2002 directed by Gore Verbinski. This film overall has a very ominous and dark tone to the whole movie. Throughout the film all scenes are shot in a dark atmosphere helping portray the theme of death and trying to escape death. The director really makes use of sound and music to intensify the darkness of the movie.
The film is about a series of death’s happening supposedly because of a VCR tape that has resurfaced after years of going undisturbed. After watching the video, you have seven days until you die. With four teenagers already dead a reporter friend to the decease, plans to figure out what really happened. In her search to find the truth Rachel has watched the movie and now only has seven days to figure out what happened and how to save her and her sons life.
suspenseful, ominous, horrific, depressing, and shocking
Rachel tries to figure out why teenagers are mysteriously dying after viewing an old VCR tape, believing she might be crazy she uncovers some hidden family drama.
This is when we finally find out Samara's living situation on the farm.

some of the effects that happen over time after watching the tape. This would be a cool effect to use on the type.
