Working with Box Drive
A much more convenient way to work with Box (for you AND me) is to install the Box Drive app. After that you can use Box like any other folder on you hard drive. No need to open a browser and login each time you want to upload or download things. On top of that it'll allow us to "sync" a site folder which means that you directly work on Box, meaning the site folder on your hard drive and the Box folder are the same thing. I'll always have your latest files to review. It's also a backup – so if you have trouble with your computer the files are always available on Box.
So here we go:
STEP 1
Download and install Box Drive: https://www.box.com/resources/downloads/drive
STEP 2
Last step is to "make the box folder available offline". This means you can work on your project even when your not online. As soon as you're online again, everything will be automatically updated/synced. To do this, highlight you folder and then control-click (or right-click) it and choose "Make Available Offline". See the image below as a reference.
STEP 3
And finally please make sure that your folder and file structure matches what you see in the image below. Fonts folder and fonts.css won't be used this time so no need to add those.
For later when we work in Dreamweaver:
STEP 4
Make your Box folder (only the one with your name, not the "DES250-F23-A/B") the site folder: To do this, open up Dreamweaver, close all the documents you may have open there. From the top menu choose Site > New Site. Name the site and click the folder icon to locate the site folder on Box (make sure it's the Box folder, not the one you worked with before). The site folder is the one with only your files in it – not the folder with all students' projects. Then click Save. That's it. The next time you open Dreamweaver it'll automatically open with the files on Box.
